Our Approach

In times past, cultural transmission i.e. the passing on of values, appropriate behavior, and societal norms was the sole responsibility of one's family. Many newly emerging factors such as the heavy influence of Pop Culture, mass marketing, and social media have forever changed this dynamic. We believe that all of these areas of influence have to be taken into consideration while providing counsel. As with every generation past, Gen X'ers, Millennials, and Gen Z's face challenges that are unique to them. Our lead therapist, Jon A. Parker, having been born at the end of Generation X has special insight into his generation and the ones that followed, especially in regards to their physical health, emotional health, and spiritual needs.

We also specialize in issues that affect the newly developing Black Middle Class/Young Black Professionals, as well as College aged and High School students.
